Aspire Solar installed an 11.7 kW solar system for this Wimauma homeowner using 26 REC Alpha Pure RX 450W panels, all placed on a single south-facing roof plane. This orientation gives the home consistent, high-quality production throughout the day and allowed for a simple, uninterrupted array layout with no shading concerns.

To support the homeowner’s need for reliable backup power—especially important with a young family in the home—the project includes a Tesla Powerwall 3 paired with a Powerwall 3 Expansion. This configuration increases storage capacity while keeping the overall system within Tier 1 utility limits. The combined system provides just under 11 hours of whole-home backup under typical loads.

The backup equipment was installed neatly along the exterior wall, with clean conduit runs and separation between the Tesla Gateway, inverter hardware, and batteries. The homeowner prioritized simplicity and resilience, and the final layout keeps all components easy to access for future service while maintaining a tidy appearance.

System Performance & Homeowner Goals

Designed to cover 93% of the home’s yearly energy needs, the system significantly reduces dependence on the utility grid while delivering strong production thanks to the direct south orientation. The added battery capacity ensures:

  • Reliable power during grid outages
  • Comfortable conditions for the homeowner’s young family
  • Enough stored energy to bridge overnight outages or storm-related interruptions
  • Consistent replenishment during daylight thanks to strong south-facing production

This project reflects a balanced approach—high solar output paired with meaningful backup capability—tailored for a family looking for stability during Florida’s storm seasons without moving beyond Tier 1.
